Reiki with Ren

Reiki is both an energy healing practice and a spiritual path.

I offer a full spectrum of spiritual support — from offering Reiki healing sessions to learning Reiki to personalized guidance and spiritual mentoring.

My teaching is rooted in Usui Ryoho lineage through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), and I approach Reiki as a living practice that asks for presence, self-responsibility, and care for the body, mind, and spirit.

My Reiki offerings are designed for people who feel called to work with energy in a grounded, intentional way — whether that’s through self-healing, supporting others, or deepening an existing spiritual practice.

Healing Sessions: Receive individualized Reiki, energy work, and somatic healing tailored to your needs — for yourself, your children, or even your animal friends.

Mentoring & Spiritual Coaching: Explore your intuitive gifts, The Tarot and Oracle cards, energy tools, sound, and spiritual practices with customized guidance. Programs like Living the Tarot help you integrate mind, body, and spirit in everyday life. I intentionally build the containers for 3-6 weeks so that you can integrate what you learned and stand in your own power.

Teaching & Workshops: Learn Reiki I & II, participate in Reiki Apprenticeship, or join online workshops for kids and a caregiver. Gain practical tools for self-care, mindfulness, and connection with your own energy. I offer a monthly online Reiki Workshop which serves as an introduction to Reiki and I answer any questions you might have. I also provide Reiki Talks for local businesses in the Kalamazoo, MI area.

Honoring Readiness & Safety

Because this work involves the subconscious mind and energy fields, I work with individuals who:

Are in a grounded, stable phase of life
Feel emotionally supported
Are able to stay substance-free and well-rested for 48 hours before sessions
Are not currently navigating psychosis, acute crisis, or active addiction

If someone is in a more tender or urgent place, I gently encourage them to receive psychological or medical care that fully supports them in this moment. There is no judgment — only respect for timing, readiness, and safety.

Hi I'm Ren

I’m an Intuitive Counselor, Reiki Master Teacher and Spiritual Mentor for Humans and Animals with almost 20 years of experience walking beside others through healing and life transitions. My work blends deep spiritual heart with grounded wisdom centered in the gentle yet powerful Universal Life Force energy of Reiki.

As a former private practice therapist, I take care to blend my therapeutic skills with spiritual intuition and modalities. I help people connect with their Wise Selves, intuitive gifts, their purpose, and the Divine Support that has always been with them.

My mentoring and apprenticeship offerings are by alignment because it is important for us to enter into a healing container on the same page. My Reiki classes and sessions are designed to allow your/your animal's intuition and pacing to lead. This will provide you with the most uplifting and empowering experience.

How to Work with Me

I have healing sessions for adults and animals in either 30 or 60 min increments. I can work out of my office in Kalamazoo, MI, online over Zoom, or with distance Reiki. You may email me or book a free Discovery Call to get started.

I offer Reiki education and training in a layered way, allowing you to enter at the level that feels right for you:

Step 1: Learn
Attend a free Reiki Talk or book a free Discovery Call to understand what Reiki is, how it works, and whether it resonates with you.

Step 2: Experience
Join a Reiki Foundations Workshop to explore grounding, energy awareness, and intuitive practices firsthand.

Step 3: Commit (If Aligned)

Apply for Reiki I & II Practitioner Training and Apprenticeship, a structured and lineage-based certification process.

There is no pressure to move through all levels. Each offering stands on its own.

Spiritual Mentoring can assist you with your spiritual knowledge, unique purpose for this lifetime and will help you to self heal through the use of spiritual tools, guided Reiki Meditations and other spiritual techniques. You might wish to receive mentoring because it is more flexible and does not require the same commitment it takes to learn Reiki. This is not a substitute for mental health counseling or psychiatric/prescriber treatment, but can complement this work. Contact me or book a Discovery Call.

New Offering, Living the Tarot Mentorship: Connect to your inner guidance and the Angelic perspective on living life using the lens of the Tarot. This offering is full of light, wisdom and practical experience to orient yourself through the Tarot as a compass, not a predictor of the future or of doom. The cards become a living conversation supporting self-trust, spiritual integration and real-life intuitive clarity.

Why I Do This Work

Every person I’ve worked with carries a version of the same core wound:

We were taught to disconnect from our joy, our desire, our inner authority, and our direct connection to the Divine—
in order to stay safe, loved, or acceptable. As a private practice therapist, I was not always able to address the core wounding of this issue. As a Reiki Master Teacher, I am excited to support you with this work.

Somewhere along the way, we learned:

“I can’t trust myself.”
“Others know better than me.”
“My intuition isn’t real.”
"My feelings are a problem."
“My voice will cause conflict.”
“If I am my whole self, I won’t belong.”

This wound lives in the energy body and the 7 major chakras:

Root: fear, scarcity, instability
Sacral: guilt, suppression of desire, escape through pleasure
Solar Plexus: shame, collapse of personal power, perfectionism
Heart: grief, unworthiness, self-abandonment
Throat: silence, pleasing, over-explaining
Third Eye: self-doubt, confusion, distrust of intuition
Crown: dogma, scrupulosity, fear of Divine judgment

But at its root, the wound is always some version of:

“It’s not safe to be fully myself.”

Reiki can help us to restore balance in our minds, bodies and spirits. It can help us to self reflect and address wounding without suffering. Reiki helps us to connect back home to our unique light, our purpose, and who we truly are.
